Privacy Policy
The short version
Moments doesn't collect your personal data, doesn't show ads, and doesn't use analytics or trackers of any kind. The dates you add stay on your device and sync automatically to your own private iCloud account — never to our servers, because we don't have any.
What we collect
Nothing. Moments doesn't require an account, doesn't ask for your name or email, and doesn't run any analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs that send data off your device. We have no servers of our own and no way to see the dates, titles, or notes you enter into the app.
Where your data lives
Everything you add — event titles, dates, recurrence settings, and preferences — is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device database (SwiftData). This local copy is what powers the app, the Home Screen widget, and StandBy.
The app and its widget share that local copy through a secure iOS App Group container, which only your device's iOS system has access to. No data leaves your device through this mechanism.
iCloud sync
When you're signed into iCloud, Moments automatically uses Apple's CloudKit to privately sync your data across your own devices — there's no separate setting to turn on. This sync happens entirely within your personal iCloud account, under Apple's own privacy terms, and Vishful never has access to it. If iCloud is unavailable or you're signed out, Moments simply keeps working with the local copy on your device.
In-app purchases
Moments offers an optional one-time unlock, processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. Vishful never sees or stores your payment details — that's handled by Apple, subject to Apple's own privacy policy.
Children's privacy
Moments is not directed at children under 13, and since the app doesn't collect any personal data from any user, this applies equally regardless of age.
Third parties
Moments does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The only third party involved at all is Apple, for App Store distribution, in-app purchases, and iCloud sync — each governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future feature introduces new data handling — we'll update this page and revise the date at the top. We'll always aim to keep Moments as private as it is today.
